The Top 10 NON-Oscar nominated films of 2013.

As I've said before, 2013 was an excellent year for the film industry. Many films that captured my heart and blew my mind. So many, that the Academy Awards nominations are not enough to help us decide what to watch.

And because most of you don't have the time to spend hours doing research about movies, but hate missing what's worth watching out there, here's a list of the top 10 films of 2013 that where not even mentioned in the nominations for the Academy Awards but must not be missed:

1) Mandela: long walk to freedom (South Africa/England)

2) La vie d'Adele (France)

3) Fruitvale Station (USA)

4) Frances Ha (USA)

5) Spectacular Now (USA)

6) Wadja (Saudi Arabia)

7) Blackfish (USA documentary)

8) This is the End (USA)

9) All is Lost (USA)

10)Trance (England)

Bonus: Sound City (Documentary)

  1. I mostly agree but would actually substitute All Is Lost and Frances Ha with "Short Term 12" and "The East" ...
